Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana enjoys tangos operas and other dramatic performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards in the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara along with Mexico City, she was a member of many opera choruses and chamber ensembles. When she moved in California in United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in the southern part of California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. as a music teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in many projects in the community because of her love and enthusiasm for music. Ana has also been a former part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana hopes, through her sharing of Latin American traditional songs, that she will inspire a love, especially for the young generation to keep this tradition in the present.
